If you’re new here, every month I share how I’m doing with my goals for the year. This includes personal, blogging/business, and of course financial goals. This post holds me accountable to the goals I set every year, but more importantly, it helps my readers to see that having financial goals in place are the key to succeeding with money. If you need help setting financial goals, make sure you read this post here on the steps to setting financial goals.

2017 Personal Goals
Work out 2x a week using these free videos. (Done this month. I’ve actually been working out for 1-5 minutes every day and so far it’s been amazing! Super proud of myself.)
Average 10,000 steps a day – 5 days a week (tracking this with my FitBit). Here’s my average (I don’t typically wear my FitBit on Sundays which is why there’s not much to show on those days 🙂 ):

2017 Marriage Goals

2017 Mothering Goals
Take my children on a fun outing once-a-month (Done this month. We counted Conner’s birthday party as an outing since we held the party at Monkey Joe’s. 🙂 )
Set aside dedicated time for help with schoolwork and arts/crafts (I’ve been struggling with this one but slowly we’re getting better and better. We actually read a really great book together this month, The Donkey that No One Could Ride. ).
The snow…

I enjoy seeing your goals and progress updates! My big goal for the year is to double my blog income. I doubled my January income from last year so I’m off on the right start! 🙂 We do need to replace our roof, sooner rather than later, due to some leaks we discovered recently. So we’re attempting to save up the $5000 in the next couple months. We’re doing a no spend challenge this month to boost up our savings!
Jessi Fearon says
Heck yes Kristen!!! That is awesome! You’re going to rock this year! And good luck on your No Spend Month – sending some prayers your way for a successful month! 🙂
Emilie Lancour says
A way to sneak in prayer is say one every time you wash your hands.

I love reading your goals! One of my big goals this year is to attend a writing conference. I registered for it this month, so, score!
Jessi Fearon says
Heck yes Sarah! Let me know how the conference goes – I’ve always been interested in a writing conference so I’d love to hear what you think about it!
Carrie Willard says
One of my goals this year too was to attend a blogging conference. I’m going to Exposure and Profit in September, it’s also in Atlanta. It’s a smaller conference with only one track and I know several of the speakers personally. I have heard of the business Boutique, but I can’t get how that would help me so much as a blogger.
Yes to spring like weather here lately!
Jessi Fearon says
BB is all about business which is why I love it – even though I’m a blogger, I’m a business owner because I earn money from my blog. When I went in 2015, I walked away with a business plan and clear direction for my blog which I had never had before. It was incredible! BB is actually 2 minutes from my house so it was like a no-brainer for me this year. 🙂
Jennifer Connolly says
Great post! I think today my goal is going to be to write a list of goals for the year. Thanks for the inspiration!
Amy says
Great work, Jessi!
I have to admit that your “snow” picture made me chuckle. (I’m in upstate NY.)
Jessi Fearon says
Hahhahhaaa! God bless you darlin’! Georgia snow is about as much as I can handle. 🙂
Lindsey Mozgai says
Congrats on coming so far on your goals in just one month!
